Meet Nikki

She sings. She dances. She'll make you laugh at just about anything that comes out of her mouth. She's is completely comfortable in her own skin. I  chose Nikki for my photo essay because she has been a friend of mine since my freshmen year of college. Not only is she a fantastic entertainer, but an incedible person. When I met Nikki I realized that drag queens are outstanding examples of feminine power and beauty.

My fascination for drag queens is mostly due to the air of confidence that surrounds them. When they walk, they hold their head high and dare the world to try to put them down. I admire their self-assurance and comfort in their own skin. They are beautiful because they feel beautiful, and that is something every woman should strive for.

Drag queens are fabulous because of their ability to be themselves without "being themselves." Their alter egos are a stronger, fiercer version of their regular selves. The facial expressions in the photo are quite evident of confidence and security within her skin. 

The best part of drag, is watching the performance. There's nothing quite like watching a man get up on stage and work it better than any woman in the room. Nikki was dancing to teeth by Lady Gaga when this photo was taken, and she impressed everyone in the house.People then proceed to stuff dollar bills into her costume as she danced through the audience.

Watching the formation process is an experience tht is worth watching. I find it so interesting that a man can transform himself into a beautiful woman. I have to admit, some drag that I have see look better then laf the ladies I see walking down the street.

I chose this photo because this is a bi gender photo. As diplayed there is half Tyler and Nikki. While staring at this photo I found it hard to believe that it didn't look photoshopped.

This picture was taken outside of a radio station.  Nikki won a discography of GAGA that night. She was ecstatic.

This is Tyler after a hard night of milagro tequila.

A few hours later Nikki picked Tyler right up off his feet for a night out on the town.

CUT THROAT BUGETS

An overwhelming show of support  Edinboro campus united students and faculty while they rallied there over millions of dollars of proposed state funding cuts. Edinboro would have to eliminate a number of programs, which would put students’ degrees at risk, and tuition rates would go up 33%. These photos captured the emotion of just how intense they felt about Corbetts  possible decision making.

I chose this picture because I love Willow trees and I felt like this is something I would do in real life.

Mr. D is a writer. He wrote in a journal and talked about dying alone and wanted to isolate himself from his family and friends. Casey is his nephew. Casey misses him very much (as shown in the youtube video) Uncle d commited suicide after the loss of his partner.
